In Honor of My Mom
This website is dedicated to my Mom. She was the queen of buying and selling… and for as long as I remember she supplemented our income with yard sales. Her sales were famous, too. Music, themed tables, and clear signage… people came from all around to come to her sales!
Yes, she had sales in her blood. Me?…Not so much. I would help her at her sales, but always behind the table with my head buried in something else, not involved in trying to sell anything to anyone.
Sadly, my Mom passed away at the young age of 69, but before she did, she made it clear I was to inherit all her “stuff.” Not just what she collected in her home, but also all the items at a local antique store where she had a bunch of booths. As a minimalist/tiny house person myself, at first I wasn’t so thrilled. But deep down I think my Mom knew I would someday need the cash. She was right – that time has come.
I also think my Mom is proud of me doing this website, which I did recently to begin selling off her items. She and I were best friends, and we often talked about doing an online store where she could sell her items. I just didn’t know how to do it back then.
So Mom… thank you. I miss you more than life itself. But until we hug again, I hope you will have fun, with me, seeing how this new website takes off!
